高度に発達した金融システムは経済成長の要であり、それを支える金融プロフェッショナルは常に必要とされています。石田ゼミでは、高度な知識とスキルを備えた人材を育成し、将来、事業会社の財務・経営企画、総合商社、コンサルタント、バンカー、ファンドマネージャー、証券アナリスト、公認会計士、研究者として活躍する人材の輩出を目指します。A sophisticated financial system underpins economic growth, and the professionals who support it are always in demand. The seminar aims to cultivate people with advanced knowledge and skills who will go on to work in corporate finance/planning, trading houses, consulting, banking, asset management, equity research, accounting, and academia.

会計学・コーポレートファイナンスの理論をベースに、日本企業が直面する課題の解決策を、財務データや株価データを用いて実証的に研究します。具体的には、3年次前半には基礎体力をつけるためにテキストの輪読や学術論文の解題を行います。3年次後半は日本企業が直面する課題や解決の糸口を探るために日経STOCKリーグあるいはプロネクサス懸賞論文やM&Aフォーラム賞などの懸賞論文に挑戦します。4年次には会計、コーポレートガバナンス、サステナビリティを中心に各自が研究テーマを定め、アカデミックな研究を行います。Building on accounting and corporate finance theory, students empirically investigate challenges facing Japanese firms using financial and stock-price data. In the first half of the third year, students read textbooks and review academic papers to build a foundation; in the second half, they take on either the Nikkei STOCK League or an essay competition such as the Pronexus Prize Essay or the M&A Forum Award to explore challenges facing Japanese firms; and in the fourth year, each student sets a research topic centered on accounting, corporate governance, or sustainability and conducts academic research.

3年次前半：『情報とインセンティブの経済学』を輪読し、そのうえで会計学やコーポレートファイナンスに関連した学術論文を解題します。これにより、学術論文を読みこなすうえで必要な基礎体力を身につけながら、学術論文とはどのようなものなのか、最先端の研究ではどんなことが検証されているのかを学び、今後研究を行ううえでの土台を築きます。First half of the third year: Students read 『情報とインセンティブの経済学』 (Economics of Information and Incentives) together, then review academic papers related to accounting and corporate finance. In doing so, they build the foundation needed to read academic papers, learn what an academic paper is and what cutting-edge research examines, and lay the groundwork for their own future research.

3年次後半：日経STOCKリーグあるいはプロネクサス懸賞論文やM&Aフォーラム賞などの懸賞論文に挑戦します。日経STOCKリーグや懸賞論文を通じて、日本企業が直面する課題や解決の糸口を探ります。Second half of the third year: Students take on either the Nikkei STOCK League or an essay competition such as the Pronexus Prize Essay or the M&A Forum Award. Through the STOCK League or the essay competition, they explore challenges facing Japanese firms and ways to address them.

4年次：卒業論文を作成します。研究テーマは会計・コーポレートガバナンス・サステナビリティに関連したものとし、研究アプローチには計量経済学的なアプローチを採用します。希望があれば、卒業論文を学外の懸賞論文や学術誌に投稿することも可能です。Fourth year: Students write a graduation thesis on a topic related to accounting, corporate governance, or sustainability, using an econometric approach. If they wish, students may also submit their thesis to external essay competitions or academic journals.

想定される進路は、コンサル、シンクタンク、アセットマネジメント、投資銀行、事業会社など。研究者志望の学生も歓迎しています。Anticipated paths include consulting, think tanks, asset management, investment banking, and corporate roles. Students aspiring to become researchers are also welcome.

2027年卒生の進路：三菱UFJ銀行、みずほ銀行、楽天、損保ジャパン、双日、明治安田アセットマネジメント、三井住友信託銀行。Careers of 2027 graduates: MUFG Bank, Mizuho Bank, Rakuten, Sompo Japan Insurance, Sojitz Corporation, Meiji Yasuda Asset Management, and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank.

2026年卒生の進路：住友商事、EYストラテジー・アンド・コンサルティング、アビームコンサルティング、日本IBM（戦略コンサルタント）、岡三証券（グローバルマーケッツ）、日本銀行、トヨタ自動車、メンバーズ、進学（東京大学大学院経済学研究科）。Careers of 2026 graduates: Sumitomo Corporation, EY Strategy and Consulting, ABeam Consulting, IBM Japan (strategy consultant), Okasan Securities (global markets), the Bank of Japan, Toyota Motor, Members, and graduate study (Graduate School of Economics, the University of Tokyo).
