高度に発達した金融システムは経済成長の要であり、それを支える金融プロフェッショナルは常に必要とされています。石田ゼミでは、高度な知識とスキルを備えた人材を育成し、将来、事業会社の財務・経営企画、総合商社、コンサルタント、バンカー、ファンドマネージャー、証券アナリスト、公認会計士、研究者として活躍する人材の輩出を目指します。A sophisticated financial system underpins economic growth, and the professionals who support it are always in demand. The seminar aims to cultivate people with advanced knowledge and skills who will go on to work in corporate finance/planning, trading houses, consulting, banking, asset management, equity research, accounting, and academia.

会計学・コーポレートファイナンスの理論をベースに、日本企業が直面する課題の解決策を、財務データや株価データを用いて実証的に研究します。具体的には、3年次前半には基礎体力をつけるためにテキストの輪読や学術論文の解題を行います。3年次後半は日本企業が直面する課題や解決の糸口を探るために日本経済新聞社が主催する日経STOCKリーグに参加します。4年次には会計学、コーポレートファイナンス、ESGを中心に各自が研究テーマを定め、アカデミックな研究を行います。Building on accounting and corporate finance theory, students empirically investigate challenges facing Japanese firms using financial and stock-price data. In the first half of the third year, students read textbooks and review academic papers to build a foundation; in the second half, they take part in the Nikkei STOCK League hosted by Nikkei Inc. to explore challenges facing Japanese firms; and in the fourth year, each student sets a research topic centered on accounting, corporate finance, or ESG and conducts academic research.

3年次前半：会計学・コーポレートファイナンス・データ分析のテキストを輪読し、そのうえで会計学やコーポレートファイナンスに関連した学術論文を解題します。これにより、学術論文を読みこなすうえで必要な基礎体力を身につけながら、学術論文とはどのようなものなのか、最先端の研究ではどんなことが検証されているのかを学び、今後研究を行ううえでの土台を築きます。First half of the third year: Students read textbooks in accounting, corporate finance, and data analysis, then review academic papers related to accounting and corporate finance. In doing so, they build the foundation needed to read academic papers, learn what an academic paper is and what cutting-edge research examines, and lay the groundwork for their own future research.

3年次後半：日本経済新聞社が主催する日経STOCKリーグに挑戦します。STOCKリーグとは、投資テーマを決め、仮想の500万円でポートフォリオを構築し、株式運用を行ってレポートを完成させるものです。レポートには各チームの投資テーマやその決定理由、構成ポートフォリオなどをまとめます。日経STOCKリーグを通じて、日本企業が直面する課題や解決の糸口を探ります。Second half of the third year: Students take on the Nikkei STOCK League hosted by Nikkei Inc. In the STOCK League, teams choose an investment theme, build a portfolio with a virtual 5 million yen, manage it, and complete a report summarizing the theme, its rationale, and the portfolio. Through the competition, students explore challenges facing Japanese firms and ways to address them.

4年次：卒業論文を作成します。研究テーマは会計学・コーポレートファイナンス・ESGに関連したものとし、研究アプローチには計量経済学的なアプローチを採用します。希望があれば、卒業論文を学外の懸賞論文や学術誌に投稿することも可能です。Fourth year: Students write a graduation thesis on a topic related to accounting, corporate finance, or ESG, using an econometric approach. If they wish, students may also submit their thesis to external essay competitions or academic journals.

想定される進路は、コンサル、シンクタンク、アセットマネジメント、投資銀行、事業会社など。研究者志望の学生も歓迎し、大学院進学のための個別指導も行います。Anticipated paths include consulting, think tanks, asset management, investment banking, and corporate roles. Students aspiring to become researchers are also welcome, and individual guidance for graduate-school admission is provided.

2026年卒生の進路：住友商事、EYストラテジー・アンド・コンサルティング、アビームコンサルティング、日本IBM（戦略コンサルタント）、岡三証券（グローバルマーケッツ）、日本銀行、進学（東京大学大学院経済学研究科）。Careers of 2026 graduates: Sumitomo Corporation, EY Strategy and Consulting, ABeam Consulting, IBM Japan (strategy consultant), Okasan Securities (global markets), the Bank of Japan, and graduate study (Graduate School of Economics, the University of Tokyo).
